Background

Established in 1986, this three morning per week program specializes in helping two-year old toddlers transition between home and school life. Our philosophy is to provide a play based  environment that promotes independence and allows the children to grow their developmental and social skills within a warm and nurturing environment. Our daily schedule includes music, story time, art, movement and open choice/dramatic play.  We encourage children to explore, discover and grow.  We believe a child’s experience is about the process and not the product. Our space consists of two sun-filled classrooms and a spacious, fenced playground. Communication is extremely important at Countryside.  Teachers touch base daily with parents during pick-up and two in depth conferences are scheduled during the fall and spring.

Countryside Playschool has proven to be a wonderful experience for our children. The nurturing and caring environment promotes many facets of early childhood development. We have been very pleased and highly recommend Countryside as a first school experience!
